Empowering Futures: Supporting Second Chance Month
April brings Second Chance Month, an initiative spearheaded by the U.S. Department of Justice to honor and aid the reentry of individuals from incarceration back into society. It is also a time dedicated to acknowledging the collective efforts of individuals, communities, and organizations across the nation that facilitate this transition.
SOWIB is committed to facilitating the reentry process through comprehensive employment supports and training services, fostering economic and personal development, and reducing recidivism. Follow along with us this month as we highlight the sectors pivotal to community growth and individual opportunities throughout our region, demonstrating the vast opportunities awaiting those ready for a second chance.
