Southwestern Oregon Economic Indicators February 2021 (January 2021 Data)
Here are the Economic Indicators for February.
The graph of the month features the employment loss by region. The Southwestern area of Oregon is in the top four areas showing quicker recovery. The Portland area still has the most jobs to gain back since the start of the pandemic. You can find the details on this graph here in Josh Lehner’s blog post.
Local education is still seeing jobs lost due do the COVID-19 pandemic that showed the biggest losses in Coos and Douglas Counties. Accommodation and food services still shows the largest losses in Curry County.
The job vacancy survey for Southwestern Oregon was released recently and can be found here. Health care and social assistance reported the most industry vacancies in the three county region, along with health care support jobs leading in the occupation category.
